Masudaya (Target) Robot (1958)

“Target” Robot is another member of Masudaya’s legendary Gang of Five family of 15-inch skirted robots. Shipped with a dart gun, the child aims for the red, chest-mounted sensor. When struck, the robot stops dead in its tracks, then backs away in retreat. Soon thereafter, the robot begins heading forward again, to repeat the shoot-stop-reverse sequence. Target Robot includes beautiful lithography.
